To better protect Macao's heritage and museum facilities, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will carry out renovation works of the façades of the Taipa Houses from 19 August (Wednesday). Please kindly note that the Taipa Houses visiting schedule will not be affected by the abovementioned works and it will remain open to the public during the renovation.
The renovation works will include conservation, painting and renovation of the façades, doors and windows of the five buildings of the Taipa Houses. Bamboo scaffolding and fences will be set up, and the works are estimated to be completed by the end of November.
The Taipa Houses is open from 10am to 7pm (no admittance after 6:30pm) and is closed on Mondays. Admission is free. Guided tour services are available from 3pm to 5pm on Saturdays. For enquiries, please call IC through tel. 8988 4000 during office hours.
