AC001-Building of the Coloane Library

First constructed in 1911, the building was originally a public primary school, one of the three public primary schools on the two islands, Taipa and Coloane. It was later used for various purposes until the Macao government converted it into a public library in 1983.

In front of the main entrance there is a corridor with six thick round columns embellished with capitals. The façade is crowned by a pediment. This building is of southern European architectural style.
