This rock is located at the beginning of the Isthmus Ferreira do Amaral, with its back turned against Lin Fong Temple and its front facing the area of Green Island, presenting the inscription of the date 22.08.1849, correspondent to the assassination of Governor João Maria Ferreira do Amaral and the engraving of the coat of arms of Portugal, formed by a crown and the Portuguese shield. This engraved rock was installed in memory of the mentioned Governor. Ferreira do Amaral during his term in office expanded the limit of the frontier, from the Monte Fortress up to the present day portico of the Border Gate.
