MM028-Lin Kai Temple

The temple was constructed in 1830 and later local people raised funds to rebuild and expand the temple, which was completed between 1875-1908. Since then, the temple has been called the “New Lin Kai Temple” and is dedicated to 15 gods and goddesses including Choi Bak (God of Wealth), Va Kuong (God of Fire), Kun Iam (Goddess of Mercy), Kuan Tai (God of War and Wealth), Tai Sui (God presiding over the year) and the eighteen Lohans (Arahats).

Architectural characteristics:
There are nine chambers in this temple and its scale takes after the three biggest temples in Macao.
