The current Foc Tac Temple, at Horta da Mitra neighbourbood, was built in 1886, during the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. Renovated in March 1986, the temple houses deities such as "Foc Tac Cheng San" (Earth God), "A-Ma" (Goddess of Fisherman and Sailors), "Choi Ba Seng Guan" (God of Wealth), "Yun Tan"(God of Wealth) and "Tai Soi" (God of Time, which changes annually), along with objects such as plaques, couplets, altar tables and incense burners donated by devotees believers from Horta da Mitra neighbourhood over the years. Moreover, inside the temple, one can see the only temple inscription in Macao written in both Chinese and Portuguese.
Architectural characteristics:
This Foc Tac Temple is primarily a Lingnan-style building, with the upper part of the walls surrounding the entrance patio being decorated with green glazed ceramic balusters and floral ornaments, typical of the Western architecture in Macao., It reflects a fusion of Chinese and Western architectural elements.
