Built in the early 20th century, this house in a comparatively smaller scale sits in harmony with its surroundings. The building combines a variety of architectural styles. Apart from decorative motifs composed of glazed ceramic tiles beneath the eaves, which are commonly applied in traditional Portuguese architecture, the building also features Classical architectural elements including traditional columns and fan-shaped windows (with the large arched window facing the Avenida da República divided vertically into three parts). The discrete features a coherent architectural form as a whole.
