This building is located in the former “Tak Seng” pawnshop that was built in 1916 and opened in 1917. It was originally the property of Macao merchant Kou Hening but has since closed and has now been converted into the “The Heritage Exhibition of Traditional Pawnshop Business”.
Architectural characteristics:
A pawnshop with a fortified tower at the back of the shop, it follows the design of Chinese pawnshops in the early years of the 20th century.
